Chelveston Village Scenes

The Chelveston War memorial. RAF Chelveston – formerly station 105, used by the 305th Bomb Group (364th, 365th, 366th & 422nd Bomb Squadrons) USAAF flying B-17 Flying Fortresses between 6th December 1942 and 25th July 1945.

St John the Baptist Church – dates back to 13th Century. Restored in 1849, the Church is a grade II* listed building. The Bell tower contains 5 bells (not functional). On the tower wall is a war memorial to the 305th Bomb Group USAAF who were based at RAF Chelveston during WW2.

The Star & Garter – The 300 year old local village pub, re-opened and under new management. Food served daily. Parking at the rear. Telephone 01933 623295 for dining reservations.
